I'm 23 years old. I have only gotten into understanding a PUA within the last week.
After 5 years and 3 short relationships; I completely gave up and lost all confidence within myself. I became depressed and didn't really know what to do with myself. That is, however, until I one day remembered reading an article in a national paper (The Sun) about Harry Styles (Of boy group, One Direction) reading a book that supposedly tells you how to pick up women by insulting them.
I found that book. Obviously Neil Strauss's 'The Game'.
It got delivered to me and I instantly read about 30 pages, just before I was going out clubbing for the night. The insult part was never fully true, however.
I went out that night on a mission. I wanted to dive straight in and use some of those 'openers' Neil had so kindly left us to use. I could see it working. However, I hadn't gone much further into the book to figure out how to carry on the routines. Not that it matters; I'm glad to have found out about PUA. It's already put a smile on my face and given me back a touch of confidence. I'm looking to continue learning about it..
