Hi Steve,

I see it as my mission to warn people about this subculture, so this is my warning to you. I've been "in the game" for almost a year when I realized a couple of things. There is a lot to learn about this subject, and a lot of guys need help. But it is very easy to get the wrong picture about the whole thing through forums like this, by looking at clips on youtube, reading The Game or whatever.

Please watch out for the following...

By being "in the game" you probably want to see results. This desire, in combination with the absence of results, may make you needy and desperate - the total opposite of what you want to be. So don't expect any results.

Don't dig too deep into this subject, and don't use the PUA-terms in public. If you do this, you will look like a nerd and/or looser. Not good.

Don't listen too much on "good advice" from others. They may be totally wrong, and give you the wrong picture about everything.

Don't take anything you learn about this too seriously either. A "compliance test" is one such thing. It is a totally useless test that almost does not tell you anything. It can only tell you if a girl is NOT into you, which you will notice anyway on her body language. There are people who are submissive and will comply with you even if they have no attraction towards you at all.

"Kino escalation" is another. You may think this is a magic bullet that will create attraction. The truth is quite the opposite. It is an IOI. That's all.

The "gurus" make the whole subject sound so complicated, as if there is still more to master, as if you are never good enough. This is just another trap. Don't fall into it. Pickup is actually very easy, it is just about being social. How to flirt is actually encoded in our genes, so it will take care of itself.

There are only three things to master. Your self esteem, your "inner game". If you feel needy and desperate, make sure you get all confirmation you need from your family and/or friends. Try to be relaxed, don't care about pickup or any results, and try to think about what impression you give people (aka social competence). Second, phobia training. That is what getting rid of approach anxiety is all about, and that is what discussions about "kino escalation" usually is about. Do whatever you feel like, and don't be afraid. It is just as easy as that. Third, have fun, spread positive energy, and invite people into your world, instead of trying to approach and force yourself onto someone else (which an approach can feel like).

Now please spread my words. I don't want to write all this stuff to everyone. ;)
