Post subject:  Well, let's go!

I am a 22 year old located in the U.S. (Illinois to be exact) and I can't say that I have really been "in the game." I have done some research about openers, negs, IOIs, DHVs (although I can't seem to create ANY sort of DHV stories/spikes) and I have tried creating some of my own. I have been looking into them and trying to create some for a month or so.
I am a very "quirky" type of person. I enjoy trying to make others around me laugh and enjoy themselves even in the worst of situations. I tend to do/say some things at times that are extremely random, which builds in to my personality. My hobbies include watching sports (hockey in particular), listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I am someone who truly believes in the bonds that humans create among each other, but I don't seem to be having a lot of those bonds as of late. I ultimately would just like to be happy in life, but for now I would love to be able to learn and hone my skills and meet new people. I haven't really had many relationships (especially lately) and I have major self-confidence issues. Ultimately, I want to get over it and meet people from various walks of life.
I am in serious need of a life altering event, and I hope that this is it!

Why not join a social activity group or club? You can meet new people that way and you get to do the hobbies and interests you would normally enjoy. See if there is such a group local to you.

Do a google search using keywords like, "social activity group", "social activity club", "meetup group", etc. An example of such a group is Meetup.com.

If you meet a woman you like, go up to her and introduce yourself and get to know her. Ask her for her number and give her a call and meet up for a drink or coffee. If she is not keen on you, don't worry about it. Just keep approaching women and your confidence will begin to improve.

I have/am actually. I was a member of a social club while I was in college (although I do not wish to say what kind). But while I was there, I spent a lot of time around beautiful women that my friends would bring around, however, I never had the courage/confidence to interact with any of them. Just looking for something new for my life that can be challenging but rewarding at the same time.
