Quick overview about me, 27 and divorced for the last 4 years. Had a major psychological effect on me mentally. Tired of sitting at home bored trolling the internet and not going out and meeting new people and not having the confidence to get her number let a lone approach a good looking woman. But once I approach a woman I can only talk to her for so long before I run out of things to say or open ended questions. Just moved to SD in January to go back to school. What are some good openers for open environments (i.e. beaches, farmers market, class, restaurants, etc.), or in bars or clubs. Still reading The Game and going to be reading Rules of the Game next. Any advice outside of what the books have? |

I'd say the most important thing you need right now is fun! Don't spend too much time in the books, something I'm guilty of! Just enjoy it, women (and people for that matter) will sense when you're genuinely having fun and gravitate towards you. |

This. Just enjoy it, women (and people for that matter) will sense when you're genuinely having fun and gravitate towards you. I learned its not what you say, its how you say. I can say the weirdest things sometimes but I say it in such a funny or is he being serious? way that it doesn't matter. |

Thanks guys, I'm workin on it. Last week I went to Hooters with a friend and the waitress was one of the hottest girls that I had ever been served by before and I couldn't help but stumble on my words outside of what I wanted to eat. She flirted (which is her job obviously) but I couldn't flirt back. I was lost and didn't know what to do. The only thing that came to mind was "holy shit what happened, when I was in NC this was too easy and now I can barely even say hi" I guess 4 years took its toll on me. |

I read to many books and took my time to get out there, don't stress on the books, I'd recommend getting about 3 quarters of the way through the game (maybe less) and get some canned material from on here and then go out and sarge, you canned material sparingly but its good if your mind goes blank and you can play 5 lies (personally favourite) and others to just keep the conversation going smoothly, it can also lead on to interesting topics. Most important thing is practice, we are all guilty of not practicing enough at first but it will help. Good luck anyway man! |

It's not that I'm stressing on reading the books it's more or less finding some one to go out with in general. Every one I know makes excuses not to go out. Whether it be the beach, bar, club, or a sit down place to eat. I live in San Diego, one of the largest cities in the country where woman pride them selves the most on how they look because of the beach. And yet no one wants to go out, so I'm reading more and more to help out with my confidence level along with making it a point to talk to people in my class that I don't know who they are and making it a point to get to know them. Including my instructors and now when I go to the store I make it a point to just say hi to random strangers unless I'm in a hurry. It would be great to meet up with any one in the SD area so I can get back on my feet. |
