Post subject:  Looking for a starting point?

:?: I am very new to the pick up scene . I recently read "the game" and thats what sparked my interest to experiment more with the art of picking women up. What i mainly need is a way to GET STARTED. I don't know where to start with everything and what to read/watch etc. If anyone can help me get the basics down or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it

For this being a forum, people aren't good at giving advice OR even saying Hi or Welcome!

hey man don't worry....i reckon this introduction forum is full of us newbies. Probs a better idea to check out the other sections get a field report going. I read "the game" too.....amazing book read 200 pages on the first day....as far as getting started.....i'm not a PUA but just start talking....you don't even need to start getting technical at first just make a remark about something ie "the music at this place really sucks" or "shit the beer is expensive". If she takes it on from there then just get practice in talking......but then what do I know

anyway good luck man

i read that book too, he suggested picking up the phone book and calling random strangers and asking for some make believe person. Then once they say that person dont live here, you start with questions like "hows the weather" or Have u seen any good movies lately"

its not to pick them up just to get talking, being social. It's not a terrible suggestion either, it makes talking to the next person that much easier.

another thing is to simply say hi to every woman u see. on the street, in a mall, in a bank, at school. library etc.

those are risk free chances to get over the shyness, the worst the woman can do is roll her eyes and walk away.

I find about half of the women i say hi to during the day will either smile, or say hi back. some will look the other way, and some will make a dramatic run away, as if u were following them, anything to make themslves believe everybody is after them

i find approaching women during the daytime, is much easier than at night, cause their defenses are down during the day, they dont expect to get hit on as much and will usually at least be nice.

give it a shot, it does work and makes u feel a tad better about yourself when they smile back.

Oh man you just reminded me of what I used to do with the phone operators (females) whenever I was on hold with them on the line. I would ask what state they live in, married, weather, etc... good times!

Post subject:  The Pick Up Artist

I strongly suggest that watching the seasons of The Pick Up Artist will help you understand how being a PUA works. You will then be able to understand the basics from key terms to basic theories. It also helps because you have video to look at not just analog. Afterwards, you can start adding more and more detail to your game.

GoodLuck !

They are worth watching, but there is much more to it than the Mystery Method, so don't, how to say, overrate it for yourself. There are great methods that are way different from MM and there are PUAs who are way different from Mystery. Be sure to check everyone out.

SimplePickup's youtube channel, 60 Years of Challenge, and movies such as Let the Game Begin, Play the Game, and Roger Dodger, just to mention a few favorites of mine.

For right now I want to focus on one method and learn it to get comfortable. Then once I get a feel for everything I can start to look at other strategies and incorporate them with my main method... At least thats the plan :p
