Sorry I couldnt really think of a better subject title. Anyway, I just got off the phone and the HB I was talking to after 10 good, interesting minutes of the conversation goes "Alright well let me know later if you're going out..."

This to me seemed like a good way to play around and flip the control back my way. It was going my way the whole time I thought, making her laugh, but she pulled out a trick play with that one.

Ok so here's what worked for me, and maybe you guys can use it, or elaborate:

(this whole tone is playful)
hb: alright let me know if you're going out later
bronco: what? are you hanging up on me?
hb: well yeah I have to keep getting ready...!
b: seriously? wow alright, thats just a first because i always end the conversation.
hb: ha oh do you
b: i still have to eat though...what should i make...soup sounds kind of depressing...i feel homeless. i dont think its going to work
hb: haha yeah it does, that sounds pretty sad
b: maybe pasta...i think i'm going to have to take a walk and go pick something up
hb: definitely
b: alright well i have to go pick some food up....i'll talk to you later
hb: ok! call me later

thanks...i think the trick is just making a quick joke out of it, which is easy im from jersey, we put a little extra drama on everything...then act like it never happened, switch up to something you have to accomplish and be like, bye...gotta do it. worked great

and actually..thats like putting a band aid on the situation. i think that should be a last resort. i am in the beginning stages of meeting this girl. what my head was telling me to do, but i didnt listen to reason, was get off the phone a minute before that. it was a good save i guess, but i really should have just been out of there first to begin with.
